Bladerider Product Overview

Bladerider is currently one of the few, if not the ONLY production sailing boat in the World that is doubling it's growth every year. Its popularity stems from a unique combination of:

  • Modern, hi-tech look.
  • Light-weight and modular construction making it easy to transport and launch.
  • High performance in a wide range of wind and water conditions.
  • Exhilarating speed and thrills.
  • Enormous appeal for youth sailors looking for a 'buzz'.
  • Emphasis on fitness and skill rather than weight and strength.
  • Outstanding customer support and service.

Extreme Sailing: The Bladerider offers an exciting blend of speed, action and thrills. Due to its light-weight construction and advanced engineering design, the Bladerider can lift in 5 knots of wind, fly through a lull as low as 4 knots, and will achieve boat speeds in excess of 25 knots in a 20 knot wind.

Suits Any Sailor: The Bladerider is a light-weight boat with no trapeze or spinnaker, therefore allowing super high speed without any extra wires or sails. Hydrofoil sailing ensures that the advantages of higher sailing weight and physical strength are effectively countered by early, faster speeds achieved by lighter weight sailors.

Open Class: The mass produced Bladerider is able to provide true open-class racing in which sailors over a broad range of weights and strengths can be competitive. Men, women and youths are able to compete on an equal basis in the same events with the same equipment.

Thrilling Racing: There are few better spectacles in sailing than a fleet of Moths flying over the water on hydrofoils in as little as 6 knots of wind. Every race event attracts a crowd of onlookers astonished by this revolutionary sailing craft. Due to the rapid acceleration and high speeds involved, the placings in any race can never be a certainty until the very end. To sail a Bladerider, sailors need agility, athleticism and fitness; to race a Bladerider at the top of the fleet, sailors also need excellent tactical and boat tuning skills.

Three Choices: Bladerider now offer three choices of hydrofoil Moths to suit your budget. For a summary of the three different boats, please download this summary.
