Bladerider VRX customers can upgrade their supplied carbon mast and boom to a high modulus CST Mast and Boom. The new narrow CST mast was used by the first two placings in the 2008 CST Composites World Championships and first overall at the 2009 Australian Championships. Around 10mm narrower than the current Bladerider mast, the CST masts are constructed from high modulus carbon fibre and designed for lowest drag and minimal weight combination (approx 2.1 - 2.3kg) in a choice of 1 or 2 pieces and four different stiffness. The M351 is the softest mast but the same stiffness as the standard 55mm Burvill mast from Western Australia and suited to sailors under 65kgs. The M353 is roughly 5% stiffer and also the most popular mast suited to sailors weighing 65-75kg as well as the most popular sails such as the Bladerider sail and the North V8. The M354 is roughly 15% stiffer and the 355 is around 30% stiffer suited to the big boys of the class. The CST high modulus Moth boom is a squared elliptical section, it comes
complete with gooseneck fitting, vang tang, and mainsheet attachment
