Kalle sailed an Optimist and from 1994-1997 was on the National Team.
From there he went on to sail the
420 and in 1998 made the National Team. In 1998 he was on the Laser-Radial National Team.
1999-2007 he was on the Olympic 470 Team, coming 6th in 2004 Olympic Games, 3rd in the 2005 European Championships and 2nd in the 2007 World Championships.
He has also sailed big boats: Dutch champion, 1st 2005 Ft. Lauderdale-Montego bay race, experience Volvo 70's and VX 40's.
