Bladerider News - March 2008

USA All The Way

The first invitational Moth Regatta kicked off at Mission Bay Yacht Club, San Diego, California on 16-17 February 2008. Six Moths contested the event including four Bladeriders. The first day was light winds but the second day had enough wind for the whole fleet to fly around the course and show off to the onlooking crowd. The results were:

1st - Hans Henken (Bladerider)
2nd - Zach Maxam (Bladerider)
3rd - Charlie McKee (Bladerider)

Hans apparently won by miles, having mastered foiling in all wind speeds.

Greg's Wise Win

Weighing around 90kg has not stopped Greg Wise of South Australia winning numerous mixed fleet regatta's of late. He has been scooping up a plethora of first places in all his recent regatta's.

What a Huge Rack!

Darren Schofield shows how to transport Bladerider's across New Zealand. Darren said "It even hung together in 35 knot crosswind over the harbour bridge which was a relief".

Customer Feedback

"I just had an amazing test of Bladerider in La Rochelle (with Eric Proust) for the first French sailing magazine Voiles et Voiliers. I had a long career in olympic sailing but my first balderider day hasn't been so quite! Anyway I flew in a 13 knots wind and it's just definitely fun!" - Manon BORSI, France
