Our Commitment to Research and Development
Bladerider International, chairman Michael McAuley referred to research as "the heart of the business, the soul of the enterprise." We are among the industry's leaders in our commitment to research and development. We have a unique and powerful boat now but to remain the leader we need to continue to invest in new technologies and ideas.
We are committed to developing "best in class" and "boat of the era" products by applying the latest research by collaborating with eminent engineers, research organizations, by making use of the most up-to-date technological processes and tools, and by providing exceptional service to our customers.
In 2006/7, Bladerider International spent more than $1 million in the quest to develop the most innovative and exciting boat in sailing today. This involved the design through the application of sophisticated computer modelling. Much of the work prior to release was in research on fabrication methods required for a production line and extensive prototyping. This research is on-going so that we can produce the best boat possible within reasonable costs.
Today, we have teams in Perth, Melbourne and Zhuhai China working on improving the Bladerider product and developing new products.
